Sterling silver D section band with engraved runic inscription - friends forever.

There are several runic alphabets which have developed over the centuries and are believed to have originated maybe as far back as 200 years BC. In early English and related languages the word rune meant mystery or secret. The earliest runes were engraved on stone, metal or bone. The inscription around this ring is written using the Elder Futhark and is spelt phonetically, as it would have been spelt many centuries ago. It reads: friends forever.
